Vincent Zhu: Winnipeg New Music Festival

朱天行 “Vincent Zhu” is a Boston-based interdisciplinary developer, artist, and creative technologist working across computing systems, images, and interactive experiences. With a background in computer science and multimedia, he creates pieces where pixels, light, and physical form respond and intertwine. Vincent currently serves as Interactive Developer at Trivium Interactive, designing responsive systems for museums and immersive experiences.

Grounded in analog photography and a fascination with retro/low computing technologies and early computer graphics tricks, his practice combines crafted code, image making, generative visuals and electronic artifacts to build interactive installations, and explore how built environments transform natural ones. He seeks out the subtle edge where the observation and synthetic blur — reflecting on the fragile line between digital illusion and human sensation in an age of machine intelligence.

Vincent holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science with a concentration in Visual Computing from Brown University, and a B.A. in both Computer Science and Studio Art from Oberlin College. He is also a recent member of MASARY Studios, a Boston-based multimedia artist collective known for site-specific installations in sound, light, and performances. The works he contributed to have been featured at Cambridge Central Square, Boston Children’s Hospital, Museum of Science, Mount Auburn Cemetery and more.
